Planning and Consultation
Our initial goal is to identify the project scope and define both the aesthetic and functional needs of your facility in order to prepare a schematic conceptual design. Designers work in conjunction with a team of owners, architects, and consultants to determine the specific requirements of the project as well as any existing conditions or constraints. A detailed exchange of information arms the designer with the tools necessary to prepare cost estimates for the project interiors.
Design Development and Construction Detail
Designers work closely with team members to refine and finalize a design that can be moved into production. Interior design drawings are generated to communicate floor and furniture plans, lighting plans, finishes and any custom millwork elements. Interior design drawings become an integral part of the construction documents used in project construction.
Construction Administration and Project Management
Project management services are essential to ensuring that the project progresses as defined. The designer is available throughout the project to answer questions, review shop drawings and specifications and provide direction to team members. Periodic site visits guarantee successful development of the project and provide an opportunity to discover and prevent costly errors.
Procurement and Installation
Designer-directed procurement services ensure closer control and management of the approved budget. The designer will prepare and issue purchase orders for furnishings, fabrics, accessories, artwork and window treatments, and will coordinate the receipt, storage and delivery of goods with an insured warehouse. Upon project completion, the designer will arrange for the delivery of goods to the project site and will be onsite to supervise and direct the assembly and placement of all furnishings.
Design fees are based on the square footage of the project and range from $4 to $10.00 per square foot depending on the detail required by the design team. Procurement is a separate and distinct fee dependant on the products selected and approved by client for purchase by designer.
